For those who’ve walked through profound emotional valleys and found light again—not always quick, not always clean, but real.
The Process
Once selected, you'll have a focused 30-minute interview with one of our life story journalists, either in person or via Zoom, to capture the heart of your experience. You'll sign a simple agreement allowing us to share your story and photo across our platforms and potentially in future books.
They will craft your story into a powerful narrative, which you'll review and approve before it goes live. Then your journey joins our collection of powerful stories bringing hope to others who need it most.
Every day, remarkable stories slip away untold. Stories of triumph, resilience, and quiet courage that could touch countless lives—if only they were shared. With your support, we can ensure these stories aren't lost.
Since we aren’t charging for the writing and sharing of these stories, your donation helps us travel to communities across the country, sit with people face-to-face, and give their experiences the time and care they deserve. Each story we capture takes roughly 10 hours to interview, write, and polish, costing about $500 in time alone. Your contribution, whether $5 or $500, helps us preserve these powerful moments of human experience for generations to come.

By making a donation to Burning Soul Collective, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
Burning Soul Collective is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, therefor your donation is tax-deductible. Your donation supports our mission of collecting and sharing life stories, specifically covering interview time, writing time, and potential travel expenses. While a typical donation of $500 reflects the base cost of interviewing and writing one story (excluding travel), we welcome and appreciate donations of any amount.
Please understand that making a donation does not influence or guarantee inclusion in any of our books or publications. Story selection is based solely on editorial decisions and project fit. By proceeding with your donation, you confirm that you understand these terms and are making this contribution voluntarily to support our storytelling mission. All donations are final and non-refundable.
